TRIO Board of Directors Meeting to be Held in NYC May 3
The next Quarterly Board of Directors meeting will be held at Mt. Sinai Medical Center on Saturday, May 3. The meeting, which begins at 9 a.m., will be held in the Hatch Auditorium, on the 2nd floor of the Guggenheim Building. All TRIO members are welcome to attend. Come and find out what TRIO National is doing for you! (Watch this space for more information.) TRIO expresses appreciation to Larraine De Pasquale, President of the TRIO Manhattan Chapter, and the Chapter members, for their assistance in making arrangements.

UNOS Calling for Public Comment on Proposed Policies
"Your chance to be heard!"  Ten policy proposals are now being offered by UNOS for public comment in a more user-friendly format. These proposals highlight proposed changes by the Kidney Transplantation Committee, Pancreas Transplantation Committee, Living Donor Committee, Membership and Professional Standards Committee, Operations Committee, Executive Committee, and the Pediatric Transplantation Committee. After the public comment period ends on April 30, 2008, the sponsoring committees will review all feedback and make necessary modifications. TRIO 2008 Scholarship Application Now Available
In our Communications section, the just released scholarship is available for download with a submission due date of June 30th.  Do you know of a worthy student who could qualify for scholarship support?

Transplant Book Reviews Now On-line
There are so many excellent educational and inspiring books both about transplant and patient stories, what to read (of give as gifts)?  In our Communications section there are now almost forty transplant related book titles, including a constantly growing list of newly released excellent reads, reviewed by a transplant patient as a guide to your own reading interests.
