"How can you make a difference, individually or through TRIO?"
Merle Zuel, heart recipient and author
Julie Bonn, liver recipient and TRIO Youth Circle leader
Mark Jackson, TRIO Treasurer and international business leader
Harvey Mysel offers an example of how one person with a passion can make such a difference. He founded the Living Donor Network through which he offers webinar based and meeting room sessions to educate about the options of living organ donation. Harvey is joined by his wife, Amy, in the Q&A session, showing further how this amazing couple works together in support of that mission.
Harvey's talk is followed by three TRIO panelists who share their own passionate endeavors that are changing the world post transplant:
1st: Merle Zuel, heart recipient and author, TRIO board member, founder/president of the TRIO Kansas City chapter talking about his annual MerleJam music event.
2nd: Julie Bonn, liver recipient and TRIO Youth Circle leader, talks about her own life now working in the research department of the Cincinnati Children's Hospital, the same hospital where she received her transplant in 2000.
3rd: Mark Jackson, TRIO Treasurer and international business leader, just returned from a special interview appearance trip to England/Ireland, shares his own special passion (a sharing that brought the audience to tears, feeling his passion). TRIO president, Jim Gleason, tries to emulate that unique interview style that Mark encountered while over there.
