"Your voice of the transplant community"

TRIO Philadelphia offers free children's book about transplant

The Beginning

The 36 page colorful book uses the true story of a chapter mother's double lung transplant, adapted and illustrated by her two children and those of our other member families. Through her story and those illustrations, children of a family where some other member of that family is facing a transplant can come to understand what is happening in their own children's language. The story is aimed at children ages 3 through 10, the actual ages of the children who created the book (as seen in the back pages after the story).
TRIO Philadelphia chapter created this very special book, shown here presenting it to one of our sponsors, the Gift of Life Donor Program, for use in their new Transplant Family House.
