Presenter Bill Soloway, heart transplant recipient, talks about how he is living the TRIO Mission through Support, Advocacy, Education and Donor Awareness.
Following a long career in marketing and sales, founder and owner of his own company, Bill received a lifesaving heart transplant at Penn in June of 2015. With highly successful recovery, Bill has become fully engaged in many volunteer roles including with TRIO Philadelphia as a board member, Gift of Life Donor Program Ambassador and Family House Board member, Help Hope Live Ambassador, UNOS Ambassador, Masonic Blood & Organ Donor Board member as well as a patient supporter and more specifically serves as a very active peer mentor for heart transplant patients.
Bill is promoting organ donor awareness and demonstrating transplant success through his unique cycling hobby locally in parades and won medals in the 2018 Transplant Games of America in various competitions including cycling.
