Dr. Emily Blumberg speaks about infectious disease and heart transplant patients.
Dr. Blumberg is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Transplant Infectious Disease at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is the Program Director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Blumberg received her AB in history from Princeton and her MD from New York University. She completed her internship and residency in Medicine at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, Chicago, IL. She completed both a Clinical Fellowship and a Research Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. She has certifications through the American Board of Internal medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine (Infectious Diseases). Dr. Blumberg has published numerous articles, some of which have appeared in the following scholarly journals: American Journal of Transplantation, Transplant Infectious Disease, Transplantation, and American Transplant Congress.
