MSW, LSW of Gift of Life Family House Caregiver Lifeline Program
The transplant patient receives excellent care at their transplant hospital while many times their caregiver is also carrying a heavy burden and often does not properly take care of themselves or receive the support they need. Talia Giordano, MSW, LSW of Gift of Life Family House Caregiver Lifeline Program, along with Jillian Golan, dietician, present nutritional education to reduce stress focused towards the caregiver. Topics discussed will be on proper nutrition to reduce stress and maintain high levels of energy, which is needed to carry out their support role. Featured in this seminar also is a demonstration by Missy Gurmankin, Personal Chef, on quick and easy ways to prepare nutritious meals to maintain the health of the caregiver and their patient.
