Pgm #31: Transplant Recovery Through Creative Endeavors
January 25, 2012
A panel of transplant patients shared their creative endeavors that helped them through the process of recovery after transplant. The discussion was then opened to all attendees who shared their own experiences with hobbies and talents that they too found useful in their own recoveries and in leading a fulfilled life post-transplant. The panel included Jim Bullard (heart recipient), Maureen Sweeney (heart and double lung recipient), Susan Pincus (kidney/pancreas recipient) and Elizabeth Rubin (liver recipient). They shared and demonstrated music, TV production, photography, painting, along with other creative activities that have helped each to live a full and productive fun life in recovery from their various organ transplants.
