Mission Statement

TRIO Debuts Improvements to Web Site

In keeping with its efforts to serve all members of the transplant community, TRIO is proud to debut improvements to the accessibility of its web site.

These changes mean that, for users of older browsers, the site may no longer look exactly the same. However, all of the information remains available. Those who rely on text-to-speech browsers, have vision problems, or simply want more flexibility in viewing web sites, will find that these changes brings TRIO's web site further into compliance with the standards for web accessibility (see the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines for more information).

Please contact TRIO at info@trioweb.org or 800/TRIO-386 with questions. (More information, including technical details, follows.)

More information: Changes in the appearance of text (different colors, sizes, etc.) are now indicated using style sheets, which provide more flexibility to users. In technical terms, TRIO has replaced use of the <FONT> element and the ALINK, VLINK, and BGCOLOR attributes of the <BODY> element with style sheets (CSS1). Additionally, headings which were previously indicated by changes in the font are now indicated with appropriate structural markup.
