- Career: living his entire life on
Long Island (NY), Lou and his family (wife, Karen, teen daughters,
Shauna and Tori, and son, Austin) moved to Bluffton, South Carolina
in 2010. He took a new position with his company at the Marine
Corps Recruit Depot on Parris Island, managing one of the largest mess
halls on the Depot that feeds over a million meals per year.
- Organizations: volunteer with
the New York Organ Donor Network and Long Island TRIO; coaches his son
in both football and baseball
- Lou offers TRIO: a passion
for spreading the word about organ donation and constantly seeks new
ways to promote the cause and get the word out. Lou is currently
working to create a new MAL (Member-at-large) "virtual chapter" support
group and eventually hopes to found a local chapter to serve the South
Carolina area around Parris Island. Another dream is to create a
sub-group focused on support for military veterans who have undergone
transplants. He is excited and hopes
to join the Development, Strategic Planning or Chapter/Membership
Committees.
