2nd Recipient reaction to nurse's letter in #1 above. . .
Hi
Jim,
God Bless you! And Congratulations on a job so well done! I knew you had taken on a wonderful project
in requesting, gathering, and choosing special fonts and stationary,
for each shared "Thank you transplant nurse"
letter. But what a terrific job you've done! And I
love that you posted some of the letters and pictures of the event on
the Trioweb.org web site. I was especially surprised to read of
the family of 11 who were all kidney recipients. And the
thank you letter back from Debbie Doucette RN in Canada was very
touching also, and as I read it it seemed to be saying she might have
been considering stepping away from nursing? Reading between the
lines it seemed that the book and thank you letter presentation was
just what she needed at the right time. And maybe through
your efforts she will remain a transplant coordinator instrumental in
playing a part in saving more lives through transplant.
Like ripples in a pond..... You threw a pebble out there in
the form of a request for those connected to organ transplantation
offering an opportunity to say "Thank you". And I'm so pleased
you reached your goal and then some. Just think, Jim, of all the
smiles you created, on both sides of those Thank You Letters.
Some of those smiles may have come in the form of tears, but each one a
blessing. You my dear friend are a very special human being, and
I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to have crossed paths with you,
as we share this ride through life. Thank YOU for coming into my
life.
With Love,
Linda
